World of Warcraft - Wrath of the Lich King

Wrath of the Lich King will be the second expansion pack release from Blizzard Entertainment’s enormously successful World of Warcraft franchise. News came earlier this month and has had fans around the globe stocking up on NoDoz for what’s to come. Features we can expect to see include the introduction of the Death Knight, the first Hero class. Looks like Blizzard came through and put to rest speculations of whether or not we would ever see Hero classes.

Like with The Burning Crusade release, we can expect to grind another ten levels with the cap being raised to 80, gaining new talents and abilities along the way. New content is a given and we’ll be adventuring up to Northrend to no doubtedly freeze our virtual nuts off while escorting a friendly Yeti back to his cave dwelling. Perilous new dungeon instances have also been thrown into the mix so start DE’ing your gear now to make room for phat new epic lootz.

Blizzard boasts Epic Siege Warfare in this release with mighty deployable siege engines to put the smack down on destructible buildings. This twist is sure to breathe new life into the PvP arena.

If all this doesn’t have you creaming your pants already then the new hairstyle character-customization options will be sure to have you reaching for a clean pair of boxers (oh snap, didn’t do laundry this week). Night elves may even shed their MJ groove for some fresh choreography with the promise of new dance moves, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Blizzard hasn’t fabricated a release date yet, so in the mean time check out the trailer for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King here…

  1. Looks hot, I really hope we don’t have to escort any Yeti’s though! ;)
