Today Auran Games announced the closed beta release of Fury, which looks like an all out PvP MMO. This game is pure player versus player combat. The traditional MMO barriers have been removed, no level grinds, no skinning 20 wild boars, not even character classes (omgwtfbbq!?), you’re thrown right into the action. 

Let’s talk for a minute about this no class system. Basically you acquire a bunch of skills and gear and you mix and match them to form what are called Incarnations. Each player can have up to 200 different Incarnations that can be changed up before you enter a PvP battle. There are literally millions of combinations. So say today you feel like bashing some skulls in with the butt of a shield rather than tossing fire bolts from the corner, you won’t have to reroll a new character, level grind for a month or two, run countless instances for gear… well you know the drill.

There are no levels in Fury, but there are ranks. As you advance in the game you’ll gain rank, which there are currently 10. Higher ranks allow for more equip points, which translates into more or better spells, skills, etc. In order to gain rank you’ll need to complete trials (quests). Trials are all PvP based and can be picked up at various NPCs in sanctuaries (no fighting zones).
