 GC 2007 Germany

The largest European Games Convention (GC) and video game industry trade show opens it’s doors to the public for four days this month and will turn Leipzig into Germany’s largest and most spectacular amusement park. GC is going balls to the wall with 115,000 square meters that claims to have something for everyone from exciting games, high-tempo atmosphere, educational software, family fun, and the promise of an unforgettable experience.

GC Games & Entertainment - For the first time GC will be laid out across four complete halls where companies can setup consoles, present their products and interact with attendees.

GC Business Center - Approximately 8,700 registrants from 52 countries visited the GC Business Center in 2006 and these numbers are expected to be trumped next week. To meet the demand and growth of GC, the business center has been extended this year to include 30,000 square meters of stomping ground.

GC Family - With the increased popularity of infotainment, edutainment and age-appropriate software among children, parents, and educators, its no surprise that this sector has carved it’s own niche into GC this year.

GC (Games Convention) runs August 23-26 following one day after the conclusion of the GC Developers Conference (GCDC, August 20-22) where video game developers from around the world will gather for three days to discuss the future of the industry.
